I was invited by Ramada group for a media iftar at Ramada Ajman. This was my second time in northern emirates. I was excited and happy to see that even hotels in Ajman is interested to work with bloggers. Ramada Group is not a new name in the field of hotels they owns five hotels across the UAE namely Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, Ramada Downtown Dubai, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham JBR, and ibis Styles Jumeira. They are also coming up with new two properties at Palm Jumeira and Ajman Corniche.

The iftar was in King’s grill restaurant of Ramada Ajman. At first we all opened our fast in flavors restaurant where the tables had a platter of freshly cut slices of fruit and in hot mezze there were lamb kebah, spring rolls, fritters and bite size samosa along with mint chatni and garlic sauce. For quenching our thirst there were three refreshing juices on display Jallab,Laban Ayran and Kamereddine. After a short while we all proceeded to the King’s grill for dinner. It was a small restaurant with no fancy arrangement, sizzling live station of grill could be seen from the transparent partition. The cuisine was combination of traditional Arabic and Indian dishes.

The salad counter was showcasing colors and freshness through variety, from staple Hummus to Tabuouleh,Beetroot,Carrot and Apple salad, Chana chaat,Coleslaw Salad,Cucumber with labneh salad,Baba ganuj,Moutabel and Rocca salad were some of the variations on the counter.

I made my next move to the grilled section, where I could see piping hot amazing grilled stuff like Quails,Fish Tikka,Chicken Reshmi Kabab,Beef Tikka,Shish Touk,Lamb Kabab. Quail I found a bit dry but other than that every other dish I have mentioned above was moist, juicy, well seasoned and grilled to perfection.I have been to many iftar this season but I couldn’t find thoum(garlic paste) in a generous quantity the way it was here to accompany  grills

Other dishes were inspired by Indian cuisine with a mix of veg and non-veg options.Mutton Biryani,Vermicelli Rice,Lamb Okra,Chicken Machboos,Roast Beef with Mushroom Sauce,Butter Chicken,Lamb Harris,Baked Pasta,Roasted Potatoes,Steam Vegetable,Chana Dal and White Rice. My favorites were Baked Pasta,Mutton Biryani,Lamb Harris. Baked Pasta was quite creamy and soft in texture served with Parmesan cheese.Mutton biryani had delectable taste with oriental rice aroma, mutton was well cooked with no smell of rawness. Lamb Harris was mild in spices. Butter chicken was a bit extra salty.

Moving towards to the most enticing part of any buffet dessert counter. The variety was decent but without any ostentatious presentation.I tried some of the items but nothing had an extra ordinary factor except tiramisu.

Overall, my culinary experience was satisfactory, the grilled items were the highlights and no wonder,I would go there again just for them. Non-veg options are very limited,so non-veg would face problem eating out here. I would definitely recommend, if you are in northern emirates than King’s grill is an option to consider.
