Swaadish is derived from hindi lingo means (Tasty food). I was wondering weather it lives upto its name or not,the only way to get to know,by tasting their food.I got an invitation by them, this place is in the food court of The Mall, newly opened mall opposite Burj-ul-Arab
The moment you enter in the food court, you hear them to greet you.Mr. Raza Abbas is the owner of this small food vendor counter. He is by profession food nutritionist & trained thai chef and running a Pakistani kitchen shows his diverse skills in food knowledge.
The menu doesn’t have much variety but I believe quality is much important than quantity and here what they are embracing it. They have fresh salads, grill ,curry, rice, some side items and one of its kind desserts. Mr.Raza helped me in selecting dishes to taste. They have 6 types of salads.
Session started off with chicken apple salad,it had chunks of chicken, apples and macronies, coated generously with creamy mayonnaise. Sweet and savory combination made me to relish every bite.
Doritos channa chat, am already a big fan of channa chat so,my excitement was obvious and over here they have notched up common channa chat a level by giving it a twist with doritos. The only thing it lacked was the absence of onions.
Mix platter rolled out on the table,it had variety of kababs (gola kabab, seekh kabab, chicken malai tikka, chicken tikka on the bed of rice and french fries as a side. Chicken tikka was moist and perfectly done. Kabab variety were well marinated in balanced amount of spices. My top favorite item from the platter was chicken malai tikka, juicy with the punch of spices I always preferred. Masala fries were there to fill you up easily, this platter is enough for 2 persons.
Among the pickle and chatni options, kiwi chatni was something I had never heard it before.
And now here comes, one of its kind famous nutella samosa. As I sink in my teeth into hot crispy samosa warm, gooey and chocolaty nutella ooze out of it,it wasn’t easy for me to stop myself taking time for other bite, wanted to plunge in the taste although it got a bit messy but who cares??? as long as its nutella, its a must try item here. We wrapped up our session with their karak chai and thankfully it didn’t have a sugar rush which I normally experience after taking a sip of chai at many places.
I would definitely recommend this place for enjoying authentic Pakistani food. They are soon going to have proper delivery service.
