Rotana group is not a new name in the hotel’s industry and has many projects under their name.Centro is one of them. Its modern, stylish and affordable lifestyle business hotel.Centro Hotel is uniquely located adjacent to Sharjah International Airport and close to the business districts of Sharjah. The hotel is just 15 minutes away from the city center. You can easily reach there with the help of Google Maps.
I was invited to the Pre Ramadan Iftar event organised by javiwithdeepti (Award Winner blogger) and Centro Sharjah.
My husband and I were welcomed by the courteous hotel staff with smiling face and they directed me to the C.Taste Restaurant where bloggers event was going on. They had some cake decorating competition to entertain the guests followed by Ramadan preview, I got late and missed this fun filled activity.
As a welcome drink fresh juice was served to us. They dish out on the table and you could enjoy from buffet too, there were 3 main counters and one qahwah counter,one was of fresh salad and cold mezzeh and it consist of Hommus,Tablouleh,Fatouch,Moutable,Babaganoug,Spinash Salad,Chicken Lever,Vine Leaves,Keshak,Farfaheen,Couscous,Greek Salad,Okra Bill Zait,Potato Harra,Batingan Bill Zait,Fatteh and fresh Breads etc.
In hot mezzeh it had Kebbeh,Fatayer,Cheese Samosa and Rakak whereas, in main course we were feasted on Kousa Warak Enab,Chicken Kabsa,Lamb Thareed ,Fish Salona, Shariya Rice,White Pasta and Harees. Kabsa’s chicken was well marinated in its spices and tender to perfection on the bed of aromatic rice. Lamb Thareed is a tasty traditional stew,can be made with chicken or lamb or even just with vegetables. Fish salona was made in red tomato curry with eggplants and fish pieces. I really liked the tingy taste and unique combination of eggplant with fish. White sauce pasta totally devoured it by sprinkling parmesan cheese and thyme. Harees is also a traditional emirate dish,I couldn’t taste it as my stomach was repleted by then Alhamdulilah.
The third colorful counter was a visual treat Amawat,Mango,Pudding,Pasteries,Mohlabiah,Kashtalia,Basbousa,Omali,Tarts,Baklavah, Vermicelli and Strawberry mousse were some of the desserts over there . I wanted to try everything from this wide spread of sweets,so I took a small bite from every dish.Pakistani style vermicelli, omali and Baklavah was my favorite from last night.
Qahwah counter with local dates
If you want to enjoy a good variety of Ramadan iftar buffet with reasonable rates and great ambiance than,Centro Sharjah is the place for you. Its only in 99 AED pp through out the holy month of Ramadan.
