Last Friday I was invited for reviewing brunch at The Fountain Restaurant in Movenpick Hotel Bur Dubai. I was excited as I already had word of mouth about their grand dessert station being a sweet-tooth it was obvious :).
Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai is situated in a central business district in Bur Dubai, easy access and velvet parking facility.Which is a big relief in the city like Dubai.

The Fountain Restaurant is located in the ground floor of Movenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai. Spacious space with skylight roof, comfortable sitting arrangement makes it a perfect place for brunch. Natural light coming from skylight roof was making everything warm, colorful and pleasing to eyes, live music and the setup of food was exceptionally spread in an artistic way, doing justice by calling it THE ART OF BRUNCH

The art of brunch has two packages-one with soft beverages AED 195/- pp and the other package includes the in house beverages AED 295/- pp and it runs from 12 noon to 4 pm.

We were welcomed by a very professional, friendly and attentive staff and our server walked us to our table. He presented us a printed card to choose from the main menu. The dishes were

  • Fish and Chips
  • Sea food platter
  • Roasted Beef and classic Yorkshire pudding

I opted for Fish and chips platter and my better half seemed interested in sea food platter. This platter had two crumbed fried fish pieces accompanied with tarter sauce and fries. Fish was tasty but a bit oily perfect with the sauce. My better half had duck, prawns and calamari rings in short this platter has you covered in all fronts.

Main menu served to you on the table and you can go around to fetch other delicacies from the assorted station.

The stations my eyes saw there, were

  • Bread Station
  • Oyster Station
  • Charcuterie Station
  • Salad Station
  • Pan Asian Station (Korean and Japanese food)
  • Indian Food Station
  • Middle Eastern Station

I started off by tasting Indian cuisine, from there I tried chicken tikka pieces, indian masla, curd puri, chicken kabab which I enjoyed with the avaliable chuttnis and pappad

Bread station had huge variety of bread with fresh cheeses, it could make anyone’s mouth water. Even the bread setup was looking like a dry floral arrangement.

From Arabic food which is a compulsory cuisine being  in a middle eastern country I tried meat kibah ,perfect taste with right amount of outer crunch.

Charcuterie Station, in case you are wondering what is it,its a kind of food related to raw meat. There were many varieties spread across the counter to make you happy and enticing your palettes.

Salad bar was another delightful sight there, apart from salads and dips there were chilled tomato and vodka soup, chicken liver presented in a shot style.

Dessert station, don’t ask me it was like a candyland to my eyes, I was baffled by the sight of desserts and the way all were adorn in an artistic manner. It was difficult to decide what to eat or what not and honestly, I was full by trying all the amazing food there still being a sweet tooth it I had to justify my craving for sweet and I gorged myself in Tiramisu, Cream burlee,Red velvet cake, Brownies, tarts and waffles with ice cream.

Waffles were made fresh live and presented to us with our choice of icecream, heaven they were. Crepes had vodka otherwise would have definitely gotten a bit of it.

I have told you all about the food and assorted variety of the food at brunch. Now, let me tell you one more exciting part of this brunch which will surely attract you for sure. The Art of Brunch has an exclusive arrangement for kids. They have a separate Kids Club, kids under 12 eat free, isn’t amazing??? The buffet for kids has all the stuff savory and sweet like cupcakes, brownies candies etc to which no kid (atleast to whom I know) can say “No” to it. The place is supervised so that parents and couples enjoy their meal with a breath of freedom. Kids club has bouncy castle, play station and mascot for the entertainment,so yeah, this place is a complete package for a family treat.
